Hi, I’m adam tighe

So who am I, and why you should be interested in working with me?

I began my career within the Care Sector back in 2009, as someone who was intrigued by the opportunity of helping people. I had grown up with exposure to different types of Health and Care services, with family members working as Teachers, Lecturers, Nurses, Psychologists and Nursery Nurses, which had inspired me to do something more rewarding with my own career.

I started working in Care within Supported Living services predominantly for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and those requiring support with Mental Health, before moving into Domiciliary Care, Assistive Technology and Supported Housing, Adult’s and Children’s Care Homes, and Business Development.

My career in Care has now spanned 16 years to date, from a Bank Care Assistant up to Director of Operations; between Domiciliary Care, Care and Nursing Homes, Extra Care, Supported Living, Respite and Day Opportunities. I now have a wide breadth of knowledge, experience, and a true understanding of the trials and tribulations we can all go through, whilst working within these settings. My employed managerial roles have covered across Leicestershire; Northamptonshire; Nottinghamshire; Coventry; Derby; Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and London (Barnet, Enfield and Haringey), meaning I already have a good understanding of these areas, and some known friendly faces within some of the relevant local authorities.

In early 2022, I decided to branch out and share my knowledge with the wider community as a Consultant, by helping Providers and Managers with gaining additional advice, guidance and support, when they needed it most. This has led me to various providers up and down the country, from small homecare services with 6 service users, to 60+ bed care/nursing homes, and clinical neuro-rehabilitation services. This has included support with anything from recruitment and general compliance; whistleblowing and safeguarding investigations to business sales and TUPE transfers; working against and challenging CQC NOP's/NOD's to providing Interim Management cover and general Manager/NI support/mentoring sessions, whilst also completing a number of mock inspections. Alongside this, I continue to 'work on the ground', and maintain my own operational competence, by working as Agency Care Staff within various Adults and Children's Settings, whilst ensuring my own training and informed understanding of the current sector constraints remain up to date.
